Rita Ora is strutting on to the release of her long-awaited sophomore album ‘Phoenix’ next Friday (November 23rd).
Before the LP’s unboxing, the Pop sensation is giving the masses a preview of the newness it houses.
Cue ‘Velvet Rope.’
The piano led number finds Ora reminiscing on a love gone wrong.
Listen below…
Granted it’s not intending to be, this isn’t single material in the slightest nor the most compelling cut in Ora’s discography more broadly. But, lyrically, it does makes for an engaging listen.
‘Phoenix’ drops November 23rd via Atlantic.
Wonderfully written song. What can’t this girl do? She can sing sultry pop tracks then swing unto a heartwarming love song like this. Just right for Christmasr loving. Her fuckn former label held back on real talent.
What this girl can’t do? Score a solo hit in the USA it seems. It doesn’t help that she doesn’t bring anything original to the table.
Hahaha. The hate is real. You seething with so much envy. Get ready she is coming, deal with it or else you might just turn mad out of hate. Bye
Her music does nothing for me. I tried so many times to give her a chance but she just forces everything.
She SUCKS.
She’s a better vocalist than Ri-Whine-A!! I love her style and she gives me life live!!
dope song
“We have a special need to feel like we belonggggg”
But is she really copying the name of one of Janet Jackson’s most introspective albums and trying to act like the idea for the name is original.
This Ora girl is so ugly and limited in talent imo.
What a wasted creation.
Jay Z dragged this woman over here for WHAT!!!? All I remember is R.I.P. song. Rita let dem folks get to her niche.
Who cares about the US, when you have the whole word to work with? Rita is beloved in Europe and she has a lot of fans in Asia. The US just isn’t as important as it used to be. It’s about time you guys get off your high horse and reevaluate yourselves and the world around you.
The US is still by far the biggest music market in the world. The second biggest is Japan and Rita’s never had an album or single chart there. Let’s see how beloved she is in Europe when the album is released at the end of this month. I doubt it will spend more a couple of weeks charting outside the UK
Her album was #1 on the worldwide iTunes chart. She’s doing good. She don’t need the US.
