Speaking to ET at the 2019 Country Music Awards, the high-flying performer confirmed that family demands call for her take a spell out of the spotlight:
“We did two and a half years of [music] and Willow’s back in school now, Jameson’s going to start pre-school soon. It’s kind of the year of the family.”
She went on to say of her husband of 14 years, who recently moved from being a professional motocross competitor to racing off-road trucks:
“Carey has a lot going on as well. He’s super supportive, he follows me around the world and now it’s his turn.”
She may need to hold on just a while longer. Because after rocking the stage with Chris Stapleton at the CMAs, the pair’s duet ‘Love Me Anyway’ has taken residence at #1 on US iTunes.

I agree with the fact there’s a bit of a gap between how she presents herself and her music being rather pop or pop/rock.
But she’s never wanted to be an underground artist and she had to compromise I guess to be relevant commercially speaking.
I think with some songs she compromised well. I just wish she had kept a more soulful sound instead of recording so many pop/rock songs. But if that’s what she likes, I can’t blame her.
Regarding her concerts, it’s hands down the most challenging production as a performer. And she’s not doing all those stunts to trick people because she’s still singing live and alternating with more intimate moments. She’s really committed to her craft and I admire her for that.
She can easily take 2 years off, maybe do some features in the meanwhile, but she shouldn’t be away for too long.
Janet is the most influential female artist of all time by far! And the best female stage performer of all time!

Janet doesn’t sing, Pink does. So doing both at the same time takes a lot of talent and hard work. So to me, Pink is a better performer because when I go see a concert, I want VOCALS.
