She is the biggest star of this Generation, yes. And performance-wise that title is definitely earned. Her catalogue though has some standouts, but is mediocre overall imo. And this album is not it. The best song is Jolene and thats not even hers

As a bey stan… i was scared, but now, WOW. I love this. I will say, the album really thrives on the second half, but the first half is nothing to scoff at. This album seamlessly blends genre’s. Its a 9/10 for me due to the slower first half.

This is actually pretty good – well put together. I had it on from start to finish while doing stuff at home and i really enjoyed it haha, kinda shocked, but do give it a listen!
I just can’t get into the whole album. There’s some great tracks like bodyguard, but it’s toooo long, and self indulgent. That said, it’s a whole new level of f*** you to the racists. What a way of slamming CMAs.

I listened to Cowboy Carter and gave it an open minded chance. But it’s the same thing that nearly every Beyoncé album fails at. It thinks overindulgent unnecessary (though impressive) vocal showcase can make up for its extremely forgettable and boring songwriting. It never can.

Already love the 2 prereleases and among the rest, II Hands II Heaven, Jolene, Daughter, Protector, Leviis Jeans, Tyrant, and II Most Wanted are the ones that stand out the most for me so far. Still getting acquainted, but already feel it’s a great album in general, in my opinion. I especially love her take on Jolene and this is my first time listening to a Post Malone song but I really like her duet with him as well.
Post Malone is the true tea, eating it up opening on Taylor’s album too. W/ Jack Harlow in the background storming Justin Timberlake. The White Boys are back and their shedding their good boy look for some curls, face tats and black girls. It’s also weird like this damn cowboy album but America is eating it up too and not saying nothing as the Black man is forced into the fatal rap game. Or yall pay it dust like Jon Batiste, who also kills the game. But where is the black man superhero? Cuz it’s not usher and Beyonce can front for only so long she not our Wonder Woman either.
