Just days ahead of the January 31 release of her fourth studio album, ‘High Road,’ Pop singer Kesha thrilled fans with new song, ‘Tonight’ (as we reported here).
Acclaimed for its sonic resemblance to the tunes of her early days (a la the ‘Animal’ years), many hoped it would be the new era’s next official single and eventually given the video treatment. While the latter may still be in the deck, the latest card pulled by Kesh is the visual for her LP’s title track.
Produced by Jeff Bhaskher, the chant/sung number shows the 32-year-old hasn’t lost her rapping skills over the years.
“B-I-T-C-H, I’m that bitch you love to hate. S-T-R-8 talk that shit straight to my bank,” Kesha spits. “So aggressive. Passive aggressive. Delete that message and pass me a beverage.”

I agree to an extent, but I’m confident that the tour will deliver. I purposely think the label sabotaged this album (specifically Dr. Luke). They couldn’t be obvious and sabotage the rainbow album since that was her comeback, but they sabotaged the singles after praying but not even sending them to radio. Kemosabe/RCA/Luke are wrong for what they’ve done to this girl.

Respectfully, Kesha hasn’t been in the top 20 since 2013. She’d be lucky to even get this to chart on the billboard hot 100. And I’m a fan. It’s not necessarily Kesha, but it’s the label sabotaging her (see Dr. Luke)

I love Kesha she is amazing. Raising hell is the s*** no doubt about it and this song has its moments like her rapping for instance. But I know she can do better. The video should’ve been a full blown house party. I know we want to see what a party would look like thrown by her. And when she sings the high road part the ending background lyrics I feel are a little too much. But this album is supposed to be party music and this is her party music and I respect it.
