Sam Smith and Demi Lovato are going for the Gold (or Platinum) with their new single, ‘I’m Ready.’
With its accompanying music video set for Friday premiere (April 17), the duo – as we first reported here – are putting in overtime on the promotional front to amp buzz around the tune.
The latest push comes in the form of a trailer for the Jora Frantzis-directed clip. Look inside to see:
In a recent statement, Smith said the visual has a political, yet celebratory lean:
” [The ‘I’m Ready’] video celebrates LQBTQ in all its forms. I don’t know if you’re queer like me, but for someone who is, sports might be frightening, a trigger. So to be an athlete in a music video with Demi Lovato was amazing.”
With choreographer Sean Bankhead (Normani, Missy Elliott) signed on to steer their two-steps, Smith and Lovato look poised to impress with the visual.
