Chris Brown has nabbed his centennial hit!
In just a year after surpassing Godfather of Soul James Brown‘s record for most Hot 100 entries of any R&B act in history (click here to read more on that), Chris has carried the genre’s torch into new chart territory by securing his 100th placement on the tally.

The song that gives him the victory lap, ‘Not You Too,’ is found on Drake’s newest effort – the ‘Dark Lane Demo Tapes’ mixtape – and is the latest joint release of the duo (following 2019’s megahit, ‘No Guidance’). ‘Not’ debuted at #25 on this week’s Hot 100.
Not only is Chris now the first R&B act in history to boast 100 hits, he is also the first Black singer and second male solo singer to accomplish the feat, following the 109 hits of King of Rock N’ Roll Elvis Presley.
Over the course of his career, the 31-year-old has landed two chart-toppers (‘Run It,’ ‘Kiss Kiss’) and 15 top 10 hits. What’s more, thanks to the recently unveiled joint mixtape with Young Thug – released May 5 (click here to listen) – next week will likely see him extend his Hot 100 record.

Chris consistently releases music. He keeps his fans fed, I’ll give him that but what I won’t do is applaud quantity over quality. He has no classic albums or songs. Just a bunch of noise, filler and features. He’s been around too long to not have challenged himself musically or artistically. Not to mention, he hasn’t topped the charts since 2007.

I dig Chris’ music he gives you what you need. Guaranteed atleast 5-6 bops per album; mind you his albums have been 30-40 songs lately, but you get the picture.
He should be bigger than he is, but we know his troubles slowed him up a lot. Chris has mental illness and he is self-medicating with the drugs. He used to be so handsome and now he looks so vacant in the eyes and underweight. He looked so good when he left jail that time he had gained weight and was taking his Seroquel. The Internet was cruel calling him fat and he got back on the drugs; smh.
Whatever the case Chris has earned all of his success unlike people like Jason Derulo who has no talent and very little hits but white people just eat him up. Go figure.
