Hotly anticipated following the breakthrough success of single ‘212,’ the LP arrived in 2014 after many a hurdle.
Initially set for release via Interscope, it ended up being rolled out by indie label Prospect Park.
And there is where Banks’ beef presently lays.
In an Instagram post that’s now been deleted, the femcee took aim at its the imprint’s head Jeff Kwatinetz – and alleged that he swindled her out of money and is stealing.
Here’s what she said:
An issue with the label following the release of the project saw Banks unable to drop any new music until 2016. And most note that she’s yet to scale the commercial or critical heights achieved with ‘Broke’ since then.

That’s what I need the answers to. At this point this girl has really murdered her own career and any future career opportunities she could’ve possibly had. She should definitely check on her mental stability because with everything she has done and said she can’t seem only be in her right mind state to even think that she still has a lasting career in music. Not taking away from her talent at all I just feel at this point she needs to hang it up and find something better to do. She has nothing but time in her hands like mary j! 😆
She actually has fans and makes good music. She’s just not the politically correct artist and is a pr nightmare. I likes ya one or two songs I e heard. But hey you get what you give out.
