Britney Spears has a message for the new generation of Pop girls: don’t forget who did it first!
The ‘Toxic’ hitmaker took to Instagram with a spicy post accusing younger stars of recreating the image she popularized during her heyday.
And while the Pop royal didn’t name names, her remarks have already sparked speculation about who may have inspired the pointed message.
Full story below…
In the lengthy Instagram post, Spears suggested that several girls had adopted the image she sported in her younger years, stressing that her own persona was authentic rather than manufactured.
Reflecting on her schoolgirl image, acrobatic choreography, and early career, the 44-year-old also lamented what she sees as an increasingly artificial world.
But it was her closing declaration that packed the biggest punch:
“To all the girls who say I’m History… I’M PROPHECY.”

So, who exactly is Britney referring to?
One name being floated in online fan discussions is Tate McRae, whose music, dancing, and aesthetic have frequently drawn comparisons to Spears.
Interestingly, McRae has openly embraced Britney’s influence. As previously reported, the ‘Sports Car’ singer described Spears as the blueprint, insisting that comparing anyone to her was akin to comparisons with Michael Jackson.
The speculation also arrives just days after Tate unleashed her new single and video, ‘Housewife.’
However, it’s important to stress that Britney hasn’t identified McRae, or any other artist, as the target of her remarks.
The pointed post marks quite the contrast to Spears’ recent celebration of Janet Jackson, whom she affectionately crowned a musical god in a heartfelt tribute.
Clearly, Britney knows how to give her idols their flowers. But when it comes to her own legacy, she’s reminding the new girls that the original is still very much…here.
With that, what are…
Come back then ho
tate mcrae sound like she studied BRITNEYs voice you can not tell the difference between her and BRITNEY sabrina carpeter is another lil pop b**** ripping BRITNEYs signature sound and dance . BRITNEY was original she was never over but if she came back she would need to create a new sound. .
Britney is such a Sagittarius 🤣. Tate is good in her own way! We won’t get authenticity the way we once had it unfortunately.
tate is good but she isnt tryna create her own sound cause BRITNEY left the bank open for them to steal but the media rather talk about BRITNEY
