Miley Cyrus is getting candid about her struggle with sobriety.
In a new interview on the ‘Joe Rogan Experience’, the singer is opening about her vocal surgery and how it led her to get clean.
Her words below:
“I don’t smoke anymore, and I’m sober. I’ve been sober, pretty much the vocal surgery kind of did it for me because I just learned so much about the effects. You’re just taught it’s not really the drinking, it’s the staying up all night. Once you have your drink, you end up smoking.”
She the goes on to say:
“But also kind of having the surgery was a gift because I was able to understand my instrument.”
The Pop star recently made her return to the spotlight when she performed ‘Midnight Sky’ at the 2020 MTV VMAs. The song is set to appear on her new album, ‘She Is Miley Cyrus.’ The project does not have a release date as of now.

We certainly are glad that she is back.
Only the vocal surgery? What about the fake teeth?
She said this exact thing when promoting Younger Now then went back to her party girl ways! I love MS but she’s really p***ing me off with how back and forth she is.
For some people relapsing is a part of their recovery. Each person’s story is different, no two the same.
