Cop a gander at Lil Nas X!
The music superstar covers the latest issue of British GQ and was lensed by Luke Gilford. The spread sees him display a varying array of unique outfits.
In the issue, the GRAMMY winner talks jealousy with Billie Eilish, the meaning of his song ‘Holiday,’ and more.
Peep pics and quotes below…
On losing Record of the Year to Billie Eilish and jealousy:
“I put all that energy I was feeling onto [Billie] It became jealousy that wasn’t warranted. You have the longest-running number-one song, why the f**k are you jealous about this award? We are already so blessed. Even if you don’t have these things, you’re here. You’re still alive. You exist. You shouldn’t have any reason to be jealous.”
On ‘Holiday’ as a single and its new meaning:
“The night before it came out, I was in my shower. I was like, ‘Oh god, I feel like I’m making a really bad decision. I was just like…what’s happening?'”
“I eventually got myself the f**k up and said, ‘No, we got this. Let’s stay f****in strong.’ That song is a reminder that I have the power to make any situation better.”
On his upcoming ‘Montero’ album:
“You’re getting vulnerable Nas. You’re getting Happy Nas. You’re getting Nas in Love. You’re getting Simp Nas. You’re getting bad b**** Nas. You’re getting hood n**** Nas. You’re getting all of it, y’know? You’re getting all of me. I feel so free. For the first time in my life, these last couple of months, I’m just like, ‘I can do whatever.'”
More power to him!
Ugh 🤦🏽♀️
He should have kept this to himself.
He has really done well for himself.
Call me by your name is doing so well. The song and the video is a smash hit not only in America by overseas.
A smash hit and controversial interests are two different thing.
A hit is a hit
Whether the artist got the hit but jumping on a hot trend, or people checking the song out of curiosity or controversy.
Most of madonna’s number one songs were fueled by controversy and shock factor.
U do whatever u have to do to get a number 1.
Clarkson, that’s not the case. The song was a big because of the videos controversial interests, had nothing to do with the song. Not only that, his brand took a major blow and he’s been laying low and playing the political game to shy away from it. The song was never a hit, the video was and that was for all the wrong reason and even after going #1 with 2 videos, THEY WERE ALL FORGOTTEN! Madonna controversial songs were hits because they pushed the pop genre forward for women. This video gain press because LNX, who was doing school tours for kids 2 years ago, was f****** the devil in a lace front. It was NOT a hit, it was a f****îng PR nightmare and he back peddled with a clean video.
Listen to his voice….then listen to his songs….now Imagine an entire album, more than likely 25-35 minutes, with his voice….it’s going to win a Grammy for best comedy album 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Not my cup of tea musicality, but I do wish him continued success
Limited vocabulary! 😆
He simply doesn’t have it for me. Prince wore high hills & makeup but with far more swag & finesse.
Lil’ Nas x just seem like an amature. Again his sexuality is not the issue. Hollyweird is force feeding all these stale artists with no real ‘it’ factor.
High heels*
Looking like Yoshi on the cover
