After much anticipation, Harry Styles has released his song ‘As It Was.’ However, he has also taken the time to share the song’s new music video as well.
‘As It Was’ is the first offering from the former One Direction member’s upcoming third album, ‘Harry’s House.’ The LP is set to be available on May 20.
‘Harry’s House’ is Styles’ first album since 2019’s ‘Fine Line,’ which produced the hit singles ‘Adore You’ and ‘Watermelon Sugar.’ The latter of which became his first-ever Billboard Hot 100 #1.

I have a question, how come the video, at I saw it, was released 17 minutes ago, has 2.7k views and 505k likes? It’s half a mllion likes but the views don’t match, how is this possible? Maybe I missed something 🤔
I saw there was a youtube post you could chose to be alarmed when the new video is out, is that where the amount of likes are coming from with so much less views? Even, how is this possible is no sound was on before? I don’t get it.
Now, 3.7k views for 621k likes and it was released 36 minutes ago.
I’m just confused, I would like to know how this is possible. If it comes from the post to be alert, I guess I have to understand that most of these likes are blind because, how can you like a song you didn’t got a chance to listen to yet? Who do that? Stans? They can’t be that many, bots? I don’t know but it feels kinda weird to me even if I appreciate the artist and his music.
Okay my bad, one teaser had the sound on but… IF, why these likes (I don’t even know how much) would have been added to the full video? I mean, there are always a teaser video AND an official video apart, most of the time you can rewatch both so what do y’all think happened here? Am I the only one to be intrigued about that major difference between the views and the likes from the release?
Confirmation, the teaser is apart and it generated 1.7m views for 379k of likes. So… that means that they didn’t just change the content on youtube, from the same original post (teaser) to the new video and benefits from the likes it already generated.
SO, as you can see I had my mind on booster mode and tried to find some explanations because this situation doesn’t make sense to me and i’m surprised that nobody has a thing to say about it. I’m still wondering how this is possible 🤷♂️
Soooo I saw some comments on youtube that were posted 7 hours ago 😑 I guess I should have search right there from the start but tell me, is that fair? I guess they did what I thought they could do… they used that youtube post that didn’t has a single sound to it hours ago to be just alert when the video will be online, and they replace it with the official video KEEPING the likes it already generated? OMG… that’s not the same meaning for each like, before and after, before were for saying ok I like that announcement but after it is for saying okay I do enjoy the music. So now, if they did it, is that fair to use these likes of the post alert to make the official video looking more appreciated that it should have been without? I’m just confused because the difference between the views and the likes are too BIG, less than 5k views for more than 500k of likes, I swear this drive me crazy.

I’m not pressed, I’m curious to understand how a video who was just released could have more likes than view that’s all 🤷♂️ I love Harry’s music, I even said on a early post that I appreciate artists like him who wait until the album is done before they drop a single. Now I understand, after searching, that these amount of likes that shouldn’t exist are coming from the post alert, the video was already downloaded but blocked so it was the same video and people liked it for at least 7 hours minimum, not because they loved the song but because they were happy to see him back and i’m sorry but that’s not really fair. I guess many other artists must do the same and from now i will pay more attention to that. When you see a million of likes you can think that this song is really appreciated but when you find out, you know that half of them are blind, null and void.
The type of stan to like a video before seeing or hearing it is the same type of stan to like it anyway. So it really makes no difference.
I’m a little bit disappointed with this situation, now I understand that the likes mean nothing at all.
