    lol

Ok they sounded good and all BUT why would you do the exact same thing Mariah has been doing every concert for the last 20 years….call out your backup singer to sing I’ll Be There?

THATS JUST SO RETARDED TO ME….with the ridiculous catalogue of songs they could have chosen from

Cool performance, but an “r&b siren”? That’s like the female equivalence to a “r&b crooner”. I don’t think her style of singing is siren “that grape juice”. Siren as in referring to the light and hypnotic vocals the mythical women in Homer’s “Odyssey” sung to capture the men. I would expect someone with that title to have a much lighter voice. Just my opinion though….

I was there at Essence and Jennifer Hudson really needs to work on her stage presence but her vocals were on point, really enjoyed her duet with George Huff.

babeee jennifer hudson can saaaaang not sing lol get it jenny!

  12. DUNKFAN July 2, 2011

Jeniffer Hudson can saang, Beyonce can scream. There is a big difference.

  13. TR July 3, 2011

She right she can’t SANG’ like Beyonce, because Beyonce can’t ‘SANG’ at all!! That’s why Beyonce ain’t even considered a singer, moreover…HA!!

  14. lost1wons July 3, 2011

Jennifer Hudson idolized Beyonce, and for J. Hud who is a “sAnger” to study Beyonce, that’s saying alot. Both of dem girls can “sang”. And I’ve noticed that all of J.Hud’s idolizing is paying off not only with the weight loss, but with the s** appeal. J. Hud’s stage presence is there, watch her concert on “THE tonight show”

  15. lost1wons July 3, 2011

and i find it cool for her to bring her backstage singer onstage, kinda like Mariah use to do, ……she’s bringin sumthin new to the table again, Beyonce is inspired by the 90s too, Beyonce said she brought back “bridges, 5part harmonies” with her new album.

  16. Can do July 3, 2011

To say Beyonce screams while comparing her to Jennifer Hudson is about one of the most silliest things I’ve ever heard. Black ppl dont know the difference. Beyonce CAN indeed SANG. Jennifer well….my dog doesn’t howl everytime I attempt to listen to her for nothing…She is simply a screamer nothing more

  17. TR July 3, 2011

Nope Beyonce screams, Jenifer sings!! Beyonce’s voice ain’t built for power, so she screams her ass off to hit high notes.

  18. S*** July 3, 2011

^^^REAL RAW EFFORTLESS SOUL & POWER!!!

  19. dee July 3, 2011

    hot screaming mess!

They can both sing, Beyonce and Jennifer Hudson. Jennifer Hudson has been singing like this since she was a young girl. Beyonce has gotten better over the years. If you notice how Beyonce used to sing with Destiny’s Chld. A lot of practice and experience over the years has helped Beyonce’s voice get stronger and more articulate. Jennifer BEEN there. I don’t think that she looked at Beyonce for inspiration though. She was overweight. Why wouldn’t she want to lose weight? And Beyonce is too skinny now. ENOUGH WITH THE ONSIES BEYONCE! She just been lookin’ tired as hell. She need some sleep. But her 4 album is quite nice though. Can’t compare Beyonce and Jennifer. They are both virgos but that is all that is similar between them.

  21. TR July 3, 2011

    #Fail

  22. JohnVidal July 3, 2011

The thing is neither Jennifer nor Beyonce are Mariah Carey (or Whitney). End of!

  23. The Naked Truth July 3, 2011

Mariah’s will FOREVER be the best re-make of this song!

This sounded like a PILE while compared to MiMi and Trey!

Still love J Hud though! 🙂

  24. Erica July 3, 2011

I was their Friday night and the duet with George was the best part of her show. Jennifer Hudson bored people to sleep Friday night. That woman is sore lacking in stage presence. One day I hope she learns how to use her voice and engage and audience.

  25. Shea Butter July 3, 2011

Hmmmmmm, I realy did not like this.. Sorry!

  26. can’tbelieveit July 3, 2011

George Huff needs to be signed to someone’s music label. He will wipe the floor with Trey Songz, he has natural talent. Sonny, Jive, Music World, somebody needs to sign him(asap)

  27. can’tbelieveit July 3, 2011

Somebody really needs to call George Huff and sign him up. Jive, Sonny, Music World, somebody really needs to get him sign. He’s more than a back up singer, he has pure talent.

  28. bobby d July 3, 2011

    Mariah did it waaaaay better.

  29. nice_gurl July 4, 2011

Amazing…but Mariah’s voice just fits this song so perfectly.

  30. ME July 4, 2011

Not even close to Mariah’s epic version!!

  31. Bart Simpson…who the hell R u? July 5, 2011

shuttttt upppppp all of you sound like a bunch of blahhh!! 1st off beyonce doesn’t have anything to do with this so why mention her? its apparent that some bey stans are still upset abt the whole “Dream Girls” era…let it go! that was a whole decade ago! Jennifer is Jennifer and Beyonce is Beyonce! You do not have to mention Beyonce’s name in everything involved with Jennifer and vice versa! Moving on. Did you guys forget that Mariah’s version is a remake of the legendary Jackson 5/ Michael Jackson version? Their version will forever be #1. With that said, Jennifer is paying respects to the king of pop. Its not like she’s recording the song or singing it consistently. It was a TRIBUTE! GET OVER IT! & @Erica just because she doesn’t run across the stage jumping around like a m***** in heat, doesn’t make her boring. She has stage presence, it may be different from what you’re use to but she has it.
