Is Jung Kook en route to topping the Hot 100 with his inaugural solo hit like fellow BTS star Jimin before him?
The answer is pointing toward a very strong maybe.
‘Seven,’ the Latto-assisted debut single from Jung Kook, cooked the competition on streaming platforms just hours after it hit digital shelves July 14.
In fact, the Watt and Cirkut-produced cut was so warmly received it broke multiple streaming records within its first 24 hours of availability including becoming the biggest Spotify debut of the year so far overall (16 million spins), best Spotify debut yet for a male, best Spotify debut ever for a collaboration, and best global Spotify debut to date for a rapper.
Those figures initially seemed to be enough for a shoo-in to next week’s championship spot on the Hot 100, but hits from Country stars Morgan Wallen (‘Last Night‘) and Jason Aldean (the controversial ‘Try That In a Small Town‘) still pose threats because of their gains on sales and radio outlets.
To pad his already gargantuan streaming figures, Jung Kook lifted the lid on a whopping six remixes of ‘Seven’: Lofi, Nightfall, Island, Summer, Festival, and Band Ver.
Check them all out below.
Will the additional versions be enough to keep Aldean and Wallen at bay? If it does, the triumph will come as career firsts for Latto and Jung Kook.

They keep trying to make Japanese pop stars a thing in the USA. It’s not going to work. We are not interested. Thanks.
He is Korean. Excuse you! go to school, dumb kid. Ling Ling will spank you!
Ling Ling, girl, whatever.
Racist
Latto is desperate and pathetic 😂
No thanks general tsos and Floptto
It’s so fascinating how billboard tries to evolve with the times so that their charts reflect the interest of the public. And musical acts find every possible way to cheat the system each and every time. There will always be ‘those’ people.
Let’s see how racist American pop music really is.
