With the countdown to MTV Video Music Awards 2023 officially on, organizers have lifted the lid on more of the performers who will be gracing the stage.

Moments ago, it was confirmed that Doja Cat, Lil Wayne, Anitta, Kelsea Ballerini, and TOMORROW X TOGETHER will be rocking the house at the ceremony – which takes place on September 12 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
The quintet join previously announced performers Demi Lovato, Karol G, Måneskin, and Stray Kids.
Michael Jackson Video Vanguard honoree Shakira will also be igniting the stage.

The coveted slots come as quite the coup for the freshly added list of names.
Indeed, Doja is on the cusp of releasing her fourth studio album ‘Scarlet’ (due September 22), Anitta is in the midst of pushing her concept project ‘Funk Generation: A Favela Love Story,‘ and Lil Wayne’s showing will mark his first showing on the VMAs stage in a decade.
The 2023 VMAs air Tuesday, September 12 at ET/PT on MTV across 180 countries worldwide.
