Deadline reveals that shooting for the third season of the show has now been delayed.
“HBO and Sam Levinson remain committed to making an exceptional third season. In the interim, we are allowing our in-demand cast to pursue other opportunities,” HBO said in a statement to the outlet.
The outlet goes on to report that there is no firm start date for filming as of now, but that it is expected to begin in the next couple of months.
However, Deadline reveals that the expected release year is still 2025.
Last August, Levinson shared some insight into what to expect in season 3 with him saying to Elle that it was a “film noir” and that Zendaya‘s character would be a recovering addict who “explore what it means to be an individual with principles in a corrupt world.”

It’s been delayed due to C****. During that period, the lead actors like Zendaya, Sweeney and Jacob went looking for gigs in movies and successfully got them so they got super busy filming them(eg. Dune 2, Madame Web and Saltburn). Now they’re so busy that they had to postpone the filming further. Same scenario with Stranger Things.
