11 years may separate fans of LL Cool J from his last studio album, 2013’s ‘Authentic,’ but the wait for new music from the GRAMMY-winning Hip-Hop icon came to a close Friday (June 14) with the delivery of ‘Saturday Night Special.’
Produced by fellow legendary emcee Q-Tip, the new tune gets by with help from chart-topping friends Rick Ross and Fat Joe.
“So many different hustlers you meet in the game / Sh-t is cold, don’t put your trust in ’em, let me explain,” he raps. “The greedy killer, he wanna f-ck hoes and get the money / But he quick to feel disrespected / One slip of the tongue, wrong words selected.”
Accompanied by a black-and-white JakeTheShoot-directed music video, hop inside to get the reminder from LL that he’s never lost his touch.
I was rooting for you LL, we were all rooting for you. How dare you come with this weak ass song.
The songs cool. Got a nice vibe.
