As one-third of Migos, one of the best-selling Rap groups of all time, Quavo was no stranger to racking up top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 thanks to smash hits like ‘Bad & Boujee,’ ‘Slippery, ‘Stir Fry,’ ‘T-Shirt,’ ‘MotorSport,‘ and others.
And while he could also boast his fair share as a solo act, all of those appearances on the all-genre tally came from being a featured act of someone else’s hit – until this week.
Having teamed with 11x GRAMMY nominee/Alt-Pop diva Lana Del Rey for the July 3-released ‘Tough,’ the unexpected union has birthed a milestone moment in the career of the self-proclaimed Head Huncho.
Peruse of the updated Hot 100 sees Quavo and Del Rey ranked at #33. Here are the numbers that powered its premiere:
- Streaming ≈ 11.8 million U.S.-based streams
- Radio airplay ≈ N/A
- Sales ≈ 1,000 digital downloads
For Quavo, the top 40 opening marks a career-first as it not only becomes his highest Hot 100 debut as a song’s lead performer but also his first time visiting the chart region as a song leader as well.
Among all of his credited appearances, however, ‘Tough’ comes his 8th solo top 40 hit.
For Lana, the entry marks her 6th overall top 40 hit and first since surfing to #4 alongside Taylor Swift with their 2022 duet ‘Snow on the Beach.’

Does Quavo have a new album on the way? Hope so…
