Missy Elliott is seemingly ready to unleash her long-awaited new album.
Next year marks 20 years since the multihyphenate released her last LP, 2005’s ‘The Cookbook,’ and the decades after have brought much but not a full-length studio effort.
However, in a new interview, Elliott says that’s about to change.

Promoting her ‘Out of This World Tour’ in an interview with ET, the performer was quizzed on her next album.
Confirming that it is on the horizon, she said:
“It will be a surprise. But [it’s coming]…soon. For sure. I don’t do hot records just to do hot records. I’m in there thinking of [all elemnents], like the dancers.”
2019 brought with it the ‘Iconology’ EP and it looks like Missy ready to unwrap a longer effort.
