Christmas music lovers unwrapped quite the surprise in 2020 when Mariah Carey unveiled the official remix of her yuletide favorite ‘Oh Santa‘ that featured Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson.
If the latter has her way this holiday season, fans may see a reunion of sorts between herself and the Christmas Queen to gift even more musical memories.

Hot on the promo trail for her debut holiday album, ‘The Gift of Love,’ Hudson was spotted chatting it up with ExtraTV resident anchor Terri Seymour about everything from her Academy and GRAMMY Award-winning boyfriend Common to her first-ever Christmas tour, personal plans for December 25, and more.
When quizzed on if Carey gave her advice on how to navigate creating a timeless Christmas album, Hudson said the Songbird Supreme suggested she should’ve included some of her hitmaking penmanship.
“Why didn’t you call me to write you a song?,” Jennifer says Mariah asked.
The EGOT-winning diva says she shares a lot in common with Mimi when it comes to the yuletide season – a similarity that may lead to a musical reunion.
“She’s the Queen [of Christmas], I’m the princess. We are holiday fanatics,” J.Hud relayed. “Hopefully, we’ll get to do something together with our albums during the holiday season this season.”
When pressed for details on if that “coming together” will include a live performance as both divas will be on tours for their respective Christmas albums later this year, Hudson coyly danced around the answer.
“That would be nice. I would like that…we’ll have to see,” she said smiling. “We’re busy girls, [but] we may come together and do something this holiday season with our music.”

First es Jennifer can sing, over sing at that. The beginning of her EGOT winning start with her Effel -And I’m telling you song. And with that she’s been kept in that box 📦 her other wins were mainly due to (Dream Girls) and her singing voice of the songs of that movie 🎥. Every song she’s sung from that point is Dream Girl-Effe base. She needs a producer who can really work with her voice and produce something that with fit and stick and not of the dream girl era
