NBA Youngboy To Face No Additional Jail Time After Pleading GUILTY to Prescription Drug Fraud

NBA Youngboy (also known as Youngboy Never Broke Again) isn’t quite set to break free from the custody of federal prison, but he can at least breathe easy that the time won’t be extended.

On Monday morning (November 18), Youngboy (born Kentrell Gaulden) appeared before a Utah judge to answer to 10 of the 46 charges he faced for his part in a prescription drug fraud ring.

Allegedly posing as a doctor to scam pharmacies and illegally obtain prescriptions with codeine, the hitmaking rapper is said to have been running the operation out of his Huntsville home while on house arrest for a separate crime.

As part of a deal, Gaulden entered a guilty plea to two counts of third-degree felony identity fraud, six counts of misdemeanor unlawful pharmacy conduct, and two counts of third-degree felony forgery.  He pleaded “no contest” to the other charges.

In his acceptance of the plea deal, Utah’s 1st District Judge Spencer Walsh dismissed the case with no incarceration or probation. Gaulden, however, is to pay a $25,000 fine.

Walsh’s decision was due in great part to Youngboy’s anticipated sentence in an unrelated federal case where he was ordered to serve 27 months for unlawful gun ownership as a felon.

Once released, the father of 10 will be required to serve five years on federal probation.
