Travis Scott‘s ‘4X4′ seemed to be on track for success after its explosive debut. However, the single is facing a rapid decline.
Full story below…
‘4X4’ shot straight to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 driven by heavy promotion partnerships with WWE and the NCAA. All of which generated major buzz. However, the hype surrounding the track appears to have quelled quicker than anticipated.
In its first week, the single (which was bolstered by several physical format variations) reached #1 on the Hot 100 and became Scott’s fifth chart-topper.
Yet, just a week later, the track experienced one of the steepest drops from number one in Hot 100 history. For, it dropped from #1-#57.
This marks the second biggest dip of all time on the tally and the biggest dip for a non-holiday single.
Biggest falls from #1 in Hot 100 history (non-holiday):
1-57 4×4, Travis Scott
1-45 Like Crazy, Jimin
1-38 willow, Taylor Swift
1-34 TROLLZ, 6ix9ine & Nicki Minaj
1-28 Life Goes On, BTS
1-25 Franchise, Travis Scott, Young Thug & M.I.A
1-21 Try That In A Small Town, Jason Aldean— chart data (@chartdata) February 11, 2025
There’s no denying the tumble is an eyebrow-raiser, yet its initial success proves that Scott still can bring in numbers.
