Much like Lizzo did three years ago, R&B diva Mya name-dropped superstars SZA, Doja Cat, and Ariana Grande for an epic fantasy lineup of a modern-day remake of the timeless classic ‘Lady Marmalade.’

Mya (born Mya Harrison), coming off the high of her blazing performance at the BET Awards earlier this month, capitalized on the momentum by hitting the promo trail in support of her latest singles ‘Give It to You‘ and ‘Face 2 Face.’
During a visit to ‘Sway in the Morning,’ the 45-year-old was quizzed on who among today’s crop of stars she’d select to give a 2025 take on her 2001 smash ‘Lady Marmalade’ with Missy Elliott, Christina Aguilera, P!nk, and Lil Kim.
“There’s so many to choose from,” Harrison responded before sharing she would choose more than just four artists (as seen in the video above). “Ariana Grande, Doja Cat, Doechii, Kehlani, SZA…Ari Lennox, Victoria Monet, Tinashe…”
Going on to praise the ladies for being triple threats who can “act, sing, and have musicianship,” Mya’s answers leaned toward up-and-coming divas who have “flair” and are good “performers.”
With the 25th anniversary of her rendition of the LaBelle classic coming up next year, who knows if 2026 will see it get the revamp treatment?
