Producers for the Broadway revival of ‘Cabaret’ announced that Porter’s run at New York City’s August Wilson Theatre will end September 21, a full month ahead of schedule.
Originally set to perform through October 21, Porter’s sudden exit left fans stunned and concerned for the beloved star.
The Broadway company shared on Instagram that Porter’s doctors have ordered him to prioritize rest and recovery. While the diagnosis is serious, there’s optimism that his medical team is confident he’ll make a full recovery.

His doctors are confident that he will make a full recovery but have advised him to maintain a restful schedule.”
