SNOOZEFEST. “Angel” was a great direction for her, yet the entire album sounds nothing like that nor “In Your Hands.” This album should have dropped right in the middle of her drama with DDG, at least then it would have had some attention on it. I don’t understand the strategy of releasing a lead single and then waiting 2 years to actually release the parent project.

I dont understand the concept of an artist having single and fans telling them they need to put an album out IMMEDIATELY that doesn’t even exist.

It’s called DEMAND. Otherwise you’re just putting out random songs for quick cash grabs and not building hype towards anything

Very disappointed that Halle chooses to sing, “ And, oh, I’d rather you grab me, shake mе, push me through the wall now” on the very best song on album “Bit your Lip.” Ms. Bailey is the first one running to the court house screaming domestic violence, and this is her very toxic self publicly conditioning the masses through music. I’m not going to sing along to desire for physical abuse smh.

Otherwise, Halle is the cohesive, concise, and confident talent with “Love, or Something Like it.”

The only reason I’d give this album a 6 is because the tracks we’ve already heard saves it from being a 5. 😭

DO BETTER NEXT TIME HALLE! 😑

This one is going to take some time to digest. I’m committed to do that, but nothing pops off at first listen.

I actually love the album and it’s very RAYE- influence as well..good story telling and it’s very cohesive and solid R&B debut album. This is def her lane sonically wise I like she isn’t chasing the trends. Reminds me of Erykah Badu/Jill Scott type vibe with this album.

Know bout me is definitely a #1 Hit in today’s market. It sounds fresh, and the replay value is definitely there. The risky choice of a feature gives it an added edge. All it needs is a video. That particular FORGIVE ME sound is definitely Halle’s niche as is Songs like Angel.

Outside of the songs we’ve already heard, this is some Keri Hilson lvl material as a whole. & Surprisingly this album isn’t even as good as IN PIECES which itself wasn’t good.

    6 out of 10.

    Trouble in Paradise >>>.

I expected more from Halle’s Debut.

8 explicit songs outta 13. Tryna prove something? At least Thunder Thighs sis is overtly in heat. Shoulda named album “Mermaid Washed Ashore.” SMDH @ Bey. Good luck, babe.
