Katy Perry is no stranger to the top of the charts, and now she’s come out on top in court, too.

For, a judge has sided with the songstress after a years-long legal showdown tied to her luxury Montecito mansion.

And the win has come with millions of dollars attached.

Full story below…

The Pop force has been awarded nearly $2 million following a bitter real estate dispute that dates back to 2020, when the seller attempted to walk away from their $15 million deal.

The ruling officially closes one of Hollywood’s most closely watched property showdowns. And it’s clearly gone in favor of the ‘Bandaids’ belter.

A Los Angeles judge has ruled that the home’s former owner, Texas businessman Carl Wescott, improperly tried to back out of the sale and must now pay financial penalties as a result.

Per Billboard, the final judgment landed at $1.94 million after the court corrected earlier calculation errors.

The lion’s share of the award reflects lost rental income during the 43 months the mansion sat empty while the case dragged on.

In his ruling, the judge wrote:

“There is no reason to believe that this unique and attractive property would not rent for all 43 months.”

The decision reduces the final purchase price of the property to roughly $13 million.
