Six years may separate fans of Jhené Aiko from her 2020-released third studio album, ‘Chilombo,’ but they were given quite the surprise this week when the GRAMMY-nominated singer revealed that LP’s long-awaited follow-up would hit digital shelves on September 11.

“’Westside Whimsy’ (THE ALBUM) out Friday,” Aiko captioned the Instagram announcement post alongside the album’s cover art.

Inspired by a wellness event she experienced in her home state of California, the project shares the title of her Erewhon smoothie collaboration released earlier this year.

A 20-track affair boasting guest appearances from fellow Golden State acts like Kendrick Lamar, Tyga, Aiko’s boyfriend Larry June, and more, ‘Westside’ is available for streaming courtesy of ArtClub and Def Jam Records.
