In regards to r&b Alicia is in the top tier..other artists mix in that pop sound for more sales ie Usher after here I stand Beyonce after Bday. Alicia is able to stick to r&b and maintain her music popularity. Even after the Swizz scandal she had hit records, a hit album, and grammys. Alicia has staying power.

well i dont base my like/love for an artist based on grammys and sales. there are alot of r&b artists that are not mainstream that are just as talented or even more talented than alicia so…. but thats just my opinion.
and actually i dont think alicia even got any grammys for The Element of Freedom.but it was still a good album.
AK did get snubbed with EOF but she won grammys for that empire song with Jay Z and EOF went platinum. Plus unthinkable was a big r&b hit.

I love Alicia and I aint going to stop supporting her because she made the wrong choices in her personal life. She is a human being and talented one too. She will your fav like riri and beyonce run for their money nexy year hopefully!!!
Love Alicia and her music. Can’t wait for the new album. She has a one of a kind voice and the passion and emotion in her music is like no other. As far as her personal life, that’s not my concern.
