‘Fix My Life’ Viewers Call For Abusive Foster Parents To Be Jailed

Published: Sunday 10th Mar 2019 by David

The latest chapter in Iyanla Vanzant’s ‘Fix My Life’ story introduced to a group of siblings who were molested by their foster “carers” after they were given up for adoption.

Today, after vowing to support the family as it heals, thousands of viewers have urged Vanzant and her OWN boss Oprah Winfrey to alert the authorities and bring their abusers to justice.

Full story below…

Viewers have now urged Winfrey and the OWN network to use the same resources it used to spotlight the accusations made against Michael Jackson to save more children by ensuring that the predators discussed in the ‘Raised By Monsters’ chapter are punished.

this made me so angry to know that there are sick people in this world getting away with doing this sick s*** to children!!!!… Jesus please be a fence around this family and protect them.

Jailed, locked in solitary confinement, abused, tortured everything. Watching this episode made me so emotional. Michael just breaks my heart. The in his eyes brings tears to mine. So sad.

So many people are molested. WHY DOES NO ONE SPEAK UP

    • My third eye March 10, 2019

People don’t speak because the abuser has taken power from the people they have abused by placing shame and guilt on them. Imagine having to see your abuser all the time. It is torture. This is why some people don’t speak out and if they do it is when that person passes because that person can no longer have mental power over the abused person. The abuser also can no longer retaliate against this person.

Will add…human emotions are basic and complex at the time. Abusers violate the rules that define a healthy relationship….but it’s still a relationship. Often their victims struggle with reconciling shame and guilt with positive feelings, especially children. It’s not uncommon for victims to love and admire their abusers, look to them for protection, affirmation, etc. And if children grow up with abusers, they lack the context to develop a perspective on what non-abuse it. It’s a terrible situation.

Absolutely. They need to be named, shamed and in jail. Disgusting… This is truly one of the most disturbing episodes on Iyanla, my goodness. Michael’s epilepsy is so heartbreaking, prayers for the whole entire family.

Iyanla Van Zant and Oprah Winfrey…bring the people that abused these children out of the darkness into the light of justice. What is MOST egregious is the people received a check to care for the children. It may have not been much but it would AT LEAST PROVIDE FOOD!!!! It is IRRESPONSIBLE for the both of you NOT to use your resources to give these siblings justice. It’s NOT JUST THE MOTHER whose accountable. The siblings need deep deep therapy and neither of you are qualified to provide that. Make THIS episode MORE about the Iyanla and Oprah brands. I challenge you to make good on your claim that is not just about TV. If not the both of you are just as exploitative as the foster care abusers.

This episode was so much to watch. All of them need to see a counselor from this point forward. They really messed up those kids lives and relationships to one another. People are so f***** sick. What honestly hurt me the most was the twins, because of the bond twins share for their foster parents to literally taint that bond and then to not understand it wasn’t their fault none of it was their fault I just hurt so bad for them.

I agree where is the justice this was sick and twisted and these people are just lost their eyes are so filled with pain I could do nothing but cry Lord please help them?

As a social worker by profession and being a former foster youth myself, I am disinheartended by this information and we should all be called to act. It is all of our responsibility to keep kids safe!

This explicit level of abuse cannot continue as it only contributes to layers and layers of untreated trauma and further abuse.

Statistically emerging youth of color have alsways experienced layers of disenfranchisement and this has to stop! We are called to act NOW with intention to change the landscape and perspective of this population.

I’m all for social justice and this systemic problem rest on the community at large to address.

Next steps, we all have to do something!

I am so horrified. May god punish the evil people who had a hand in the siblings sexual abuse. I hope they are able to overcome their traumatic experience and live a life of normalcy with the help of god.

  9. Tonya Royal March 10, 2019

Someone must be held accountable for the abuse this family went through. Why haven’t we heard from the authorities at the very least say that they have opened an investigation into their adopted parents and the children’s and family services department that placed them in this horrible home? Where is the justice for them?

Iyanla, please do a second show of the individuals being prosecuted for these criminals to be televised and brought to shame on national television. My heart and prayers goes out to all those victims for serious healing. God bless you Iyanla for the beautiful work that you do in the Mighty Name of Jesus!

I am so glad that I am not alone in my rage against these foster parents. They need to be held accountable. NOW!!! How dare they abuse these children and get PAID for it!!

  14. Camillia A Wilkins March 11, 2019

You mean to tell me that you can dig up sexual abuse from 30 years ago with adults (Bill Cosby Case) and prosecute and you are not going to bring these foster parents that committed such hideous acts with children to trial? I pray that this was not just brought out in your show high ratings.

  15. Cherry March 11, 2019

Accountability! These people need to be found and prosecuted. We as viewers and supporters of the network and show are asking for more than an awareness. Those people are criminals use your platform to push and do more! Please..

  16. Tricia March 16, 2019

This was so heartbreaking and hard to stomach that such evil exists. The people that tortured those children should be punished and never let out.

  17. Shae March 16, 2019

I don’t see an “answer” to the question:

Have the perpetrators of these HORRENDOUS crimes been charged, indicted, sentenced, punished and put away for LIFE!?!

    Still waiting for the answer???

  18. Shae March 16, 2019

Where is the father of these children???

  19. Pat Blackman March 18, 2019

The foster parents should be jailed and beaten with a bat. The System should be ordered to pay for the medical care of the brother with seizures for his entire life and pay for counseling for these children. This is the worst type of evil I have ever heard of. Everyone let these kids down. The schools didn’t see something wrong? They system just left them there. My heart and prayers are with them. I know of attorneys who would take their case free of charge.

  20. Brenda March 24, 2019

This was so painful to watch and my heart goes out to the children. I pray that God mends their broken hearts. For the foster parents that did these despicable things to children ???? please find them and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law!!!!!!!

  21. Shelly July 13, 2019

I had so….. many feelings on this one. First, I cried, was appalled, sick to my stomach and then angry as hell. The foster parents need life in prison PERIOD.

  22. Jerri boland September 29, 2020

This was the horrifying to watch, justice needs to be served in the name of those 5 siblings! Social services and caregivers should be charged immediately! May God heal all 5 and give them love and strength!

Please don’t leave these babies Miss Vanzant and Miss Winfrey. We can’t unknown what we now know. Please give them everything you have to get them the peace that they deserve. These young souls were shattered so violently that they are going to need and deserve EVERY resource possible to help them heal and find peace in living through this life. Each of them are meant for incredible teachings for others in this new aquarian era. The soul energy era. I noticed that some of them where wearing Amethysts, they are definitely special souls, the world needs them, because these souls will help to change the world. I cried for them, I cried with them and I cried for me and my childhood traumas. Thankyou beautiful souls for your bravery and for helping me to release a little more of my traumas. They each have a piece of my heart in theirs. Please give my love, to them from Brisbane Australia. Margaret🙏🧡

I was a foster child and was abused as well. My foster parents got away with it . So many kids tell on their foster parents and abusive treatment they are given. But, we get ignored and our caseworkers just turn a blind-eye. This is very sad.
