The success of Patti Labelle‘s Walmart desert range has inspired her to create a frozen soul food line for the company.

Patti is now gearing up to share her love of food with even more consumers with a frozen soul food line set to hit shelves in the coming months!
She shared the news during a cooking presentation at the Essence Festival.
Coming soon to a Walmart near you, you’ll have my savory foods. There will be nine skus, foods like macaroni and cheese. It’s greens, it’s brisket, it’s chicken and biscuits, and five more I can’t think of them.
Patti is said to have moved over $2.3 million worth of pies in one weekend after the influencer James Wright Chanel released his review of the sweet treat back in 2015.

Anyone eating frozen soul food is a lazy idiot. I’m sure on the drive to Walmart u could have just stopped at a good soul food restraint ordered take-out for about the same price. BTW fresh sweet potatoes pies are at the bakery stores so why are u buying pies that have chemicals out in them for mass consumption. People need to stop being idiots. Common sense goes a long way? Do the ish u did to get soul food before all this nonsense (cook it or buy it from a good soul food resteraunt)!

I literally just had her .50 sweet potato pie from Walmart this morning with my coffee & was just saying how nasty it was! I love Patti’s music, but the fact that she keeps putting waaaayyyyyyyy too much nutmeg & extra sugar in her sweet potato pie does not give me any hope that the rest of her food will not taste like real ‘soul food’. Lord please don’t let this woman mess up a pot of greens!

The ingredient you are referring to is actually L-cysteine hydrochloride. It is a flour treatment agent and it is also a beneficial human metabolite. NOT a “bad ingredient” whatsoever.

So many haters in this world. Patti do what you do. I don’t eat sweet potato pie, but her cobblers are sooo good. I’ve won 96 cooking competitions in 49 countries, so I know that I am extremely picky & a perfectionist with food & nothing is good or great to everyone, but her cookbooks and cobblers I love.

I finally found your products at the Walmart that I frequent…I was very disappointed with the amount of sodium. over1200mg per 1 cup.Thats wayyy to much.I was so looking forward to trying each one! But I cant!!!
