Mike Tyson has broken his silence after losing to Jake Paul in a seismic boxing showdown broadcast on Netflix

The legendary sports titan came out of retirement at age 58 to fight the 27-year-old former YouTuber.

There were to be no knockouts in the eight-round bout and Paul was declared the winner by unanimous decision.

Now, Tyson – who has been mum until this point – is speaking up and out.

Taking to X, the veteran wrote:

“This is one of those situations when you lost but still won. I’m grateful for last night. No regrets to get in ring one last time. I almost died in June. Had 8 blood transfusions. Lost half my blood and 25lbs in hospital and had to fight to get healthy to fight so I won. To have my children see me stand toe to toe and finish 8 rounds with a talented fighter half my age in front of a packed Dallas Cowboy stadium is an experience that no man has the right to ask for. Thank you 🙏 #PaulTyson”

Netflix, who are stepping into the sports space with the seismic extravaganza (and will continue to do so next year when their WWE deal goes live), are touting huge numbers.

According to the streamer, 60 million watched the Paul-Tyson showdown globally.

Suffice it to say, all involved emerged victorious in one way or the other.
