Lyft has been hit with a lawsuit after a video posted by a passenger alleged shocking discrimination by one of its drivers.

NEW: 489 pound rapper Dank Demoss has launched a lawsuit against Lyft after one of their drivers denied her a ride because he said she wouldn’t fit in his car.
The driver was apparently worried that his car wouldn’t be able to handle her weight.

A woman, who goes by the rapper name Dank Demoss, has taken legal action against the ride-hailing giant after being denied a ride because of a driver’s claims that she wouldn’t fit in his car.
Demoss, who weighs 489 pounds, alleges that she booked the Lyft but was left humiliated when the driver refused to let her in, concerned that his tires would burst.
She claims that this is a case of discrimination and wants to fight against this in hopes that she can “change the world”, she says:
“If I stand for something, I’ll fall for anything. Fighting for my community, my people, and making a change in the world, not just for me, but for everyone.”
Lyft responded to Demoss stating:
“We’re disheartened to look at this driver’s unacceptable behavior. Please DM us at your earliest convenience for additional support. We’d like to address this as soon as possible.”
This attempt at resolution may be too late for Lyft as Demoss has now lawyered up and expressed her intention to take the company to court.
