NFL star Damar Hamlin has issued an impassioned thank you message in the wake of the prayers and support that engulfed him following a shocking health development.

As widely reported, the 24-year-old Buffalo Bills star collapsed on the field after suffering a cardiac arrest during the team’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals on January 2.

The shocking scenes were watched by millions tuning into the match (which was stopped) and saw Hamlin showered with an outpouring of well-wishes in the aftermath.

Now, after regaining consciousness and being able to speak with family by his bedside, the sportsman has broken his silence to the public.

Basketball star Brittney Griner has broken her silence in the wake of her release from a Russian prison.

The Olympic medalist was arrested in February for possession of less than 1 gram of marijuana oil in Moscow and was immediately detained. After six months behind bars, she was officially convicted of drug smuggling in August and sentenced to 9-years in prison.

In a shock move on December 8, US President Joe Biden negotiated a prisoner swap between the US and Russia, effectively trading Griner (who would be free upon her return home) for arms dealer Viktor Bout.

Now, the WNBA performer is reflecting on her ordeal as well as the support she received.

Kanye West has officially announced his US presidential bid for 2024.

Going live with a video he christened #YE24, the clip sees the controversial star explain his rationale for running for office again (despite his failed 2020 effort).

West also seized the moment to seemingly jab Donald Trump (who he previously aligned with).

Recounting a seemingly recent encounter, the MC said: “I think the thing Trump was most perturbed about [was] me asking him to be my vice president. I think that was lower on the list of things that caught him off guard.”

He went on to claim that the former President slammed his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, before lambasting West – who made headlines recently after wearing a ‘White Lives Matter’ shirt – more.

The performer went on to add:

“[He] started basically screaming at me at the table, telling me I am going to lose,” then laughing as he added, “Has that worked for anyone in history?”

The incredible legacy of Jamal Edwards MBE was saluted last night (November 7) at the MITS [Music Industry Trust] Awards.

A trailblazer, innovator, and pioneer, the young entrepreneur and founder of SB.TV sadly passed away earlier this year.

In celebrating the ever-present luminosity of his achievements, the star-studded MITS’ hosted a memorable evening in his honor.

The likes of Little Simz, Mahalia, and Jorja Smith joined Jamal’s mother Brenda Edwards, and sister Tanisha Edwards to celebrate his many achievements and enduring impact.

Simz, who is riding high off big wins at the BRITs, MOBOs, and Mercury Prize, performed a medley of songs from her critically-acclaimed album ‘Sometimes I Might Be Introvert.’ During her set, she said:

“We’re gonna have a party in here and celebrate this man everything he’s done and everything he’s accomplished. He was a go-getter someone that had a vision.”
