‘Real Housewives of Atlanta‘ star Apollo Nida may have been afforded fame through his wife’s (Phaedra Parks) role on the hit reality show, but it would seem it was the fortune of others the father of two was most eager to get his hands on this year.
For today, in news that will come as quite the surprise to the show’s fans, Nida has plead guilty to commit bank fraud and wire transfer and now faces up to 30 years in prison.
Breaking news below…
CBS reports:
Nida created several fake collection companies in order to gain access to the personal information and credit history databases operated by companies like Equifax and Lexis-Nexis.
As part of the plea agreement, Nida will pay between $2.3 million and $4.5 million in restitution.
Now, as a result of his actions he now admits to have carried out, Nida will be sentenced on July 8th, will be required to pay a further $1 million in fines and bid adieu to his supporting role on the show, doing so months before the arrival of its seventh season.
