Business is booming for biopics. Indeed, with narratives about the lives of Whitney Houston, Aaliyah, and Bessie Smith all on the horizon, it’s clear the real-life retellings have big appeal these days.
The latest comes courtesy of Rap pioneers N.W.A.
Christened, ‘Straight Outta Compton’, the Universal Pictures production will arrive in US theaters on August 14th 2015.
Yet, ever since murmurings about the movie gained momentum, many have been wondering who’ll be stepping into the sneakers of the iconic West Coast collective.
Well, wonder no more because the cast of the film have been revealed. Find out who’ll be starring below…
Taking to Twitter today, member Ice Cube posted the shot below…
The snap depicts Cube, along with Dre, and the movie’s director Gary Gray. Together the trio stand behind the confirmed cast; Ice Cube’s son O’Shea Jackson Jr will play his father, while Jason Mitchell will take on the role of the late Eazy E. Dr Dre, as announced earlier by The Hollywood Reporter, will be played by classically-trained actor Marcus Callender.
