As Jada Pinkett Smith continues to sizzle on the Fox series ‘Gotham‘, her husband Will Smith has signed on to star in the Marvel movie ‘Suicide Squad‘, doing so alongside ‘The Take’ star Tom Hardy.

Set for release in 2016, ‘Squad’ will drop on August 5th 2016 and will star Ryan Gosling, Hardy and Smith, all of whom have reportedly been courted by Warner Bros in a bid get all three on board with a little help from ‘Training Day’ writer David Ayer.

The movie’s premise? A group of supervillains are brought together to tackle high-risk black ops missions for the government. This is one in the growing universe of DC properties and getting this duo would be the makings of a pretty good mission movie. Stay tuned.
