More and more TV lovers are turning away from ‘Love & Hip Hop Hollywood’ it has emerged, seeing the show continue to slip and slide on a ratings tip four weeks into its run.

On September 15th, the show’s very first episode turned up to the ‘Love & Hip Hop‘ party with 2.80 million viewers.
This, being a much lower than some TV buffs had expected considering the promotional spot it scored during the ‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’ season 4 reunion, which pulled a total of 6.66 million viewers when numbers from its first and second half are combined.
Alas, not even story lines led by R&B superstar Omarion and Jay Z‘s former protege Teairra Mari could help the series enjoy a consistently decent run. For, its second episode saw the show suffer its first ratings slip when it drew in 2.37 million, only to fall again by the time its third episode, ‘Moving On‘, aired on the 29th of last month.
What happened when the show hit screens this week? You guessed it. Another ratings dip that sang to the tune of 2.18 million viewers. Yes, as the mathematicians among us would have already worked out, that would amount to 190,000 viewers lost within the space of two weeks, seemingly no longer interested in what the show has to offer.
If TV lovers are turning away from ‘Hollywood’ in search for something of the scripted persuasion, they may be pleased to learn that ABC has extended the first season of its crime series ‘How To Get Away With Murder.’
That’s right, after picking up 14 million viewers during its first episode, ‘Murder’s success story has prompted its parent network to order a total of 15 episodes from its first season.
Its writers had initially sharpened their creative tools to carve out 13, but are now tasked with throwing two more into the mix with help from Executive Producers Peter Nowalk,Betsy Beers and Shonda Rhimes.
Had the network had it their way season one would have delivered 22 episodes, but couldn’t because of an agreement they made with its leading lady Viola Davis.

The size of HTGAWM’s pickup stems from the deal for star Viola Davis. Like other top movie actors who sign on for broadcast series, including The Following‘s Kevin Bacon, they only agree if the order is limited, so they can also pursue feature projects. No doubt that if it could’ve, ABC would’ve gladly ordered 22 episodes from the red-hot drama.
So, what to do with a problem like ‘Hollywood‘?
Though the likes of Omarion and Lil Fizz are coming across far better than some may have expected, there’s no denying that the show’s supporting cast members (Masika Kalysha, Nikki Mudarris and Morgan Hardman) make for a far more interesting watch.
Our solution? Bump Mudarris, Kalysha and their “mutual mate” Mally to lead and give Teairra Mari, Hazel E, Soulja Boy, Nia Riley, Lil Fizz, Moniece Slaughter and Amanda Secor the boot.
After demoting Ray J, Yung Berg, Princess Love, Omarion and the very likeable Apryl Jones to supporting status, we’d arm its second season with stories fronted by the feuding Kalysha and Mudarris and follow Hardman as she embarks on building an empire away from Ray J, mentored by Yesi Ortiz.
Who we’d throw into the pot? Chris Brown‘s pal Kid Red, former ‘Basketball Wives LA’ star Draya Michele, R&B singer Sisqo, Adult entertainer/ aspiring rapper Brian Pumper, ‘Bad Girls Club 4‘ front woman Natalie Nunn , Suge Knight‘s “son” Andrew Payan and friend to many a Hip Hop staple King Amiyah Scott.

the ratings for Love & Hip Hop Hollywood aren’t really bad at all. It’s still a new show and the earlier seasons have seen worse ratings during the first season

Yea this album was made to get out of her current contract which like you said can be heard on this album because she did not put effort into it.
LOL right. She was so bored and uninterested in it so much that she released a bunch of “buzz” singles and filmed videos for every track. She was destined to flop this time around.
Everyone is sick of ratchet TV. At least I am. I like shows like Red Band Society…Gotham…American Horror Story Freak Show….The Walking Dead…Project Runway and Face off just to name a few.

A better idea would be to cancel that mess altogether. Ratchet TV is finally running its course.
The story lines are becoming predictable and you can tell the show is CLEARLY fake..they don’t even try to hide it anymore. I think people are finally coming to their senses and leaving that show alone… Oh and could they be anymore obvious with the Myx product placement… I’m still not gonna drink that nasty s***.
Just like with Halle Berry’s Extant, it’s one thing to start small and grow, but a major fail to start off big and start losing viewers before the season is even halfway over. Maybe tgj’s casting suggestions would help. I didn’t find this show interesting at all.
