Jaw-dropping.
Indeed, that’s the word on the lips of many following the blockbuster debut of FOX‘s new show ‘Empire’.
Each week since its January debut, the Lee Daniels music drama has climbed in the ratings.
And while many were doubtful the trajectory would continue, the Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson title has once again defied the odds.
Details below…
According to TV By The Numbers, the show’s ratings soared to a series high last night, delivering a whopping 5.7 in the all-important 18-49 adult demographic – up six percent from last week.
As for actual viewership, a colossal 14.19 million tuned in, making yesterday’s episode the highest rated for any regularly scheduled broadcast drama since the October 1st 2009 episode of ‘Grey’s Anatomy’.
