Now Turn First Artists have taken One Direction‘s Zayn Malik under their managerial wing!

Sarah Stennett launched the company in 2011 with the backing of Universal executive Lucian Grainge. Since then the industry power player has been the brains behind careers launched by the likes of Rita Ora and the aforementioned Azalea, credited for turning the latter into a household name after guiding her career in the United Kingdom with the singles ‘Work’ and ‘Change Your Life.’
Her next project? Zayn Malik, the boyband star turned solo sensation who has sought her expertise as he plans to follow in the footsteps of Justin Timberlake and Beyonce to enjoy commercial success away from the safety net that was his group.

Earlier this month, it was confirmed that Malik is still a part of Simon Cowell’s Syco Music roster, which will likely shepherd his solo material. One Direction is currently touring North America, and Malik recently tweeted at his “bro” Liam Payne on the group’s five-year anniversary.

With the know-how and resources to turn British acts into globally relevant forces we can’t think of a management company more deserving of Zayn.
Fortunately, Direction’s transition from teen sensations to budding man band before Malik’s departure should make presenting him as a fresh but credible act a walk in Pop’s park.
Here’s hoping his material (and the career it’ll launch) is just as impressive as Sarah‘s run in the game.

Well they did alright with Iggy but Rita still hasn’t happened yet in the US even after having a hit with Black Widow. I think he will do fine because of the large fan following 1D has.
Nobody finds it strange that all the singers David supports are from the sameplaces. Turn first and roc nation. He must be making a fortune promoting these artists and i knew there was a reason he kept writing about zayn. ITS NOT a coincidence that he broke Iggy before she signed to TF, promotes Rita whos signed to TF and has been promoting zayn weeks before this was announced.

Iggy herself and her US label Def Jam did that after Fancy started blowing up in the US, turn first did s*** since 2012 and she was stuck in a limbo throughout 2013 tryna get hits in the f****** UK w their useless ass lmao bye, everything they started doing last year was cuz of the opportunities Fancy created for her in the US. she barely left the US to promote as well since then!

I’m excited, they got Iggy pretty far “before she f***** her self over” and Rita is doing pretty good in the UK (4#1s plat album; even though yall still exaggerate her) but the difference is Zayn is already known worldwide and has a great voice. He’s already working with producers MYKL and Malay Ho. Malay Ho being the man who produced for John Legend Alicia Keys to name a few, he even produced most of Channel Orange. I see big things coming for Zayn.

They will do wonders for him cos they literally put Rita everywhere and on every red carpet , even when she hasn’t released any music in the U.S. The fact that zayn already has a fan following cos his already known in the U.S. HE WILL DO WELL
