His sexuality started to overshadow the game which made teams not want him. Plus, he wasn’t that great of a player in the first place. I feel like it was much too early in his career to go on an all-out media tour about his lifestyle. He should’ve just lived in his truth and played the game!
He actually had a lot of promise as a player, but like you said, he allowed his life to overshadow his ability and it affected his game.
I hope this isn’t for publicity. I really wish him the best and I hope he can make it back into the NFL.
