There may be drama surrounding his possible ties to the James Bond empire but the actor Idris Elba faced little or no opposition when he took on the role of a sinister warlord in ‘Beasts Of No Nation.’

The Netflix movie hits the platform on October 26th and is based on a book penned by Uzodinma Iweala and sees Elba star alongside Abraham Attah who took direction from Cary Fukunaga.

Idris had this to say about the role:

Child soldiers is a tough one because there’s no one policy that can just end it. Movies do have the power to create awareness and positive change… But this kind of warfare is its own sort of industry… As soon as there is a rebellion, the government doesn’t have control of laws.
