It seems ABC Family has got a thing for Hip Hop.

For, after teaming up with Nicki Minaj to tell the story of her life through the medium that is comedy, the platform has called on Diddy to create his very own TV series for them.

‘The Hustle’ is inspired by the life of Diddy’s assistant, a small-town girl whose life changes when she is hired by one of the world’s most extravagant billionaires. Hilarity and insanity ensues when she steps into his world.

‘Deadline’ adds:

Jeremy Garelick (The Wedding Ringer) is set to pen the script alongside Stacey Harman (ABC’s The Goldbergs), with the former attached to direct should the comedy move to pilot. Garelick, Harman and Diddy will all exec produce. Diddy’s Revolt Films exec Sarah Snedeker is set to serve as producer and consultant on the comedy.

A premiere date is yet to be set.
