FOX seem keen to be at the forefront of Urban’s return to the small screen.
Following their success with ‘Empire,’ the network commissioned ‘Rosewood’ starring Morris Chestnut and are now, per new reports, developing a TV series built around blockbuster smash ‘Think Like A Man.’

The single-camera comedy will be executive produced by comedian Steve Harvey, on whose best-selling advice book the movies were based, and by the films’ producer Will Packer. Keith Merryman and David Newman, who wrote the 2012 movie and the 2014 sequel Think Like A Man Too, will pen the TV adaptation and will executive produce. Tim Story, who directed both movies, will helm the potential pilot and also executive produce.
While little is known about the TV adaptation, it’s widely believed that it will be built with the DNA of the originating book and movies at its core – both of which explore the never-ending battle of the sexes and relationships from very different perspectives.
Though we still long to see new franchises created for TV, it’s little surprise why execs gage the potential in a ‘Think Like A Man’ series.
The original movie opened with $34 million in 2012 in the US, before capping off at $91.5 million total in North America alone. Its budget was $12.5 million. The 2014 sequel enjoyed success too, notching up $70 million at the box office against a $24 million budget. Both flicks featured Taraji P. Henson, Kevin Hart, Michael Ealy, Jerry Ferrara, Meagan Good, Regina Hall, Terrence J, Romany Malco and Gabrielle Union.
