Is Beyonce once again making a beeline for the big screen? According to fresh reports, the ‘Dreamgirls’ diva is gearing up to flex her acting muscles.
Details below…
Page Six reports that the 34-year-old has agreed to appear the female lead in ‘A Star Is Born’ – a film her name has been tied to for several years:
Bradley Cooper is moving ahead with his planned directorial debut — a remake of the classic “A Star Is Born” — and Beyoncé is on board to star with him, sources tell Page Six.
But insiders added that although Cooper’s now meeting with producers in Hollywood to back the project, the film won’t be ready to go before cameras until the end of next year, or possibly January 2017.
“Beyoncé is a go,” said a source of Cooper’s remake of “A Star Is Born,” which originated in 1937, was remade in 1954 with Judy Garland and James Mason, and again in 1976 with Kris Kristofferson and Barbra Streisand.
She was originally said to be interested in the “A Star Is Born” remake when it was to be helmed by Cooper’s “American Sniper” director Clint Eastwood, who then dropped out.
The news comes on the heels of reports that Queen Bey has been taking acting classes.
