Move over Morris Chestnut! Reports have it another ‘Best Man’ alum is heading to FOX for a new series – Sanaa Lathan!

“Fox Broadcasting Co. has officially ordered an event series from Love & Basketball filmmaker Gina Prince-Bythewood and Empire executive producer Brian Grazer…Titled ‘Shots Fired,’ the event series examines the dangerous aftermath of racially charged shootings in a small town (shooting involves an African-American cop killing a white teen in Tennessee).”
Set for a 2016 premiere, the series will see Lathan portray a criminal investigator sent to uncover clues about the case.
