After twenty two cycles, Tyra Banks‘ game-changing TV series ‘America’s Next Top Model’ came to an end last year.
Fortunately, or unfortunately, the show was then picked up by VH1 who committed to recreating the series this year…without Banks.
Who they’ve reportedly lined up to replace her?
The socialite Karrueche Tran.
As rumors swirl that one of the models of the moment, Gigi Hadid or Kendall Jenner, could replace Tyra Banks as host of the relaunched “America’s Next Top Model,” sources exclusively tell Page Six that Karrueche Tran could be a judge.
This, in its own weird way, makes sense.
After all, today’s aspiring models function in an “Instagram world“, forced to swim towards the mainstream using the platforms they are now able to build for themselves on social media.
Who better to coach them than any one of the aforementioned ladies who, to some extent, have done the same.
Will the show’s revamped version lose the “high end” quality Banks and her credible team of experts brought to it? Of course.
However, something tells us that VH1‘s cheaper delivery of the series will do far more to build actual “Top Models” than Banks did.
Keep it locked on TGJ for more on this developing casting story.
