MTV’s ‘The Real Wold: Go Big or Go Home’ has been met by a racism shocker after an African-American contestant was asked to “pick cotton” during her time on the series.
Full story below.
This season of the hit series introduced fans to a young lady named Jenna Thomason who startled viewers with remarks many deemed to be racist.
There to support her and show her the error of her ways? Cast mate Ceejai Jenkins, the fun-loving African-American fan favourite.
Alas, her time on the series delivered one of its more shocking moments when she was racially assaulted during an argument with the Southern Thomason.
A reference to CeeJai’s ancestral ties to African-American chattle slavery, the remark aired during the show’s finale episode shot three days before filming wrapped.
For her part in the scandal and remarks she’d made earlier on in the explosive season, Thomason was evicted and was shortly followed by Jenkins who left the series after retaliating on-camera.
