Those awaiting the latest ‘Bad Boys’ instalment will have to hold out a while longer. Two years longer.
Find out the newest twist in the re-teaming of Will Smith and Martin Lawrence below….
Initially earmarked for a June 2nd 2017 launch, that hope was washed away when it became clear that Sony Pictures had yet to lock-in a start date for filming.
According to Deadline, the delay will now see the flick – the first since the franchise’s 2003 sequel, hit theaters in January 2018.
Fans eager to see the duo of Smith and Lawrence light up the screen need not fret about whether it’ll come to fruition. It is happening, the wheels are a’turning, and a director is on-board in the form of Joe Carnahan.
Now named ‘Bad Boys For Life,’ the title tweak is apt. Because, come time of release, both of the movie’s anchoring actors will be far from “boys.” Smith will be 49 and Lawrence 53.
Still, as the classic old adage goes, age ain’t nothing but a number. And with the ’03 instalment more than doubling the box-office gross of the 1995 original (to the tune of $270 million worldwide), this will undoubtedly be a major draw.
They are waiting for Martin Lawerence to lose all that damn weight.
????
They be in a rest home when this movie comes out!!!
Awesome
Keep it.
