Colin Kaepernick’s bold decision to speak out against police brutality has seen him earn a friend and supporter in the director Spike Lee.

Kaepernick made headlines days ago when he revealed that he refused to stand for the playing of the National Anthem in honour of the African-American lives he feels America refuses to value.
Lee learned of the athlete’s move and shared this message on Instagram:

Well then Spike can give him a job when Kaepernick finds himself cut from the team, which I suspect will be soon. People need to quit acting like this fool did something noble, when all it was was an attention-seeking stunt, probably done with the intention of creating a fallout that would get him fired. This way he can look like a martyr, as opposed to a fool for walking away from all that money.
He’s going nowhere. He is doing a noble thing by using his platform to raise awareness for something so many want to ignore and so there isn’t a brand out there stupid enough to fire him because they know how it would look historically.
I’m not impressed by what he did, but he’s not getting fired over any of this. This is being heralded as a “stay woke” statement. Any organization employing him would face a backlash if they tried to cut him for this, even if they didn’t like it.

This makes me wanna remain seated now for the national anthem with my irrelevant ass lol. This literally is a statement though as why should I take pride in a country that has been unfair and holds blacks and other minorities held at oppression?
Well it makes sense, Amerikkka is going to start shitting themselves when people that understand the NA’s racist undertones and start sitting they azzes down!
Now watch black singers are gonna start avoiding performing the NA at sporting events and whatnot, simply because of this self-righteous nonsense. And the singers of the past who gave stirring performances of it (i.e. Whitney) will see those performances shunned or dismissed when they were once celebrated. CK is trying to get press in a BLM climate. This ‘woke’ crap is just a TREND for attention in a world where n*** selfies are starting to become not enough anymore.
