According to Deadline, the all-Latina ‘Desperate Housewives’ spin-off was axed due to declining ratings.
Indeed, while the show’s first season finale managed a 3 million plus peak, viewership tumbled in each successive season. The most recent averaged a 0.9.
Still, the ‘Devious’ divas boasted a strong core audience.
Throughout its run, it remained one of Lifetime’s strongest performers; it also routinely doubled the viewership of the network’s newest offering ‘UnReal’ (which is current a critics favorite).

It was an enjoyable run.
The series was a cute dessert to ‘Desperate Housewives’ main meal. It’ll be interesting to see what comes from Cherry and fellow producer Eva Longoria moving forward.
