Michel’le, the vocalist who is said to have endured abuse dished out to her by Suge Knight and Dr. Dre is finally ready to tell her story.
How?
A Lifetime-built biopic.
‘Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Me’ follows Michel’le‘s life as she seeks to build a name in the world of entertainment.
Alas, alleged physical abuse chokes her chances of reaching her full potential as she is forced to watch the men behind said abuse rise to become two of the most powerful men in Hip-Hop.
I was Dre’s fiancée. He told me he loved me, so I don’t think I understood it, but he was abusive, mentally and physically… I didn’t know any better, because my father never told me he loved me. When you find a guy that wants to be with you all the time, you think that’s love, right? I had to make my own world.
ThinkFactory Media, the company behind her show ‘R&B Divas: LA’, are behind the project and plan to impact audiences in the Fall.
The singer shared:
I am so excited about my partnership with Thinkfactory Media. For many years I was unwilling to share my personal experiences. I am now ready to open up about my career, relationships and family. I am confident that Thinkfactory Media will give an accurate depiction of my life and this tumultuous yet amazing journey I’ve been on.
